Basement Finishing in the Denver metro
Finishing a basement is the best value in remodeling โ the shell, the roof and the foundation already exist. What it takes is framing, egress, mechanical work and a contractor who understands what the inspector is going to look for.
We handle the whole thing: framing and insulation, egress window installation and window wells, electrical circuits and panel capacity, plumbing for a bathroom or wet bar, drywall, flooring and finish carpentry. Izac, our licensed electrician, sizes the panel load and runs the circuits so the basement does not overload the service.
We build basements as media rooms, guest suites, home gyms, offices and bars. Bedrooms require a legal egress window, and we install those including the well and the cut when your foundation needs it.

- Our Process
How the job actually runs.
Plan the layout
We lay out rooms around what is fixed โ the furnace, support columns, the beam and existing drain lines โ and design around them.
Permits & rough-in
Permit pulled, then framing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough-in, followed by inspection.
Insulate & close
Insulation, drywall, texture โ then it starts to look like a floor of the house instead of a basement.
Finish
Flooring, trim, doors, cabinetry, fixtures, lighting and paint, then final inspection.

Basement Finishing FAQ
Do I need a permit to finish my basement?
Yes. Every jurisdiction in the Denver metro requires a permit for basement finishing. We pull it and coordinate the inspections. Unpermitted finished space causes real problems when you sell.
Do I need an egress window?
If the basement will have a bedroom, yes โ it is required by code. We install egress windows including cutting the foundation and setting the window well.
How long does basement finishing take?
A straightforward basement runs six to ten weeks. Adding a full bathroom, a wet bar or an egress window extends that. Permit and inspection timing varies by jurisdiction.
Can you add a bathroom in the basement?
Usually yes. It depends on where the existing drain line sits and how deep it is. If the drain is above the slab in the wrong spot, an ejector pump solves it. We check this before quoting.
